It’s not the best picture, I’ll admit freely. Loch Lomond was almost the last stopp on our 1-day-Highland-Tour and I had about 5 minutes to get a shot at all, bad conditions and all. The sun had already set and it was very dark and cloudy. I would have loved to stay another 30 minutes or so. Then I could have done a nice time exposure. As it happened I had to try and make do with a HDR and heavy lightrooming and photoshopping to make it a little bit interesting. I am posting it anyway, becuse it has a sentimental meaning. I think it was when I was about 18 when someone played me some Runrig. To this day ‚Loch Lomond‘ is one of my favourite song of theirs.
It might be silly, but this song is kind of iconic for me. It really is a traditional and links to Scottish History. The very huge ’scottophile‘ part in me links the song, the place with everything that Scotland means to me. So you might gather that I couldn’t wait to be there, however short it may be. So that’s one thing I can tick off my Bucket List 😉
