When you’re doing something you love, it fuels you. It motivates you and it will challenge you to grow. Whenever we follow our heart / destiny / calling / whatever the right word might be for you, we will at some point have to grow, get out of our comfort zones, in order to get on with it and reach our goals. That usually leads us into fear and gives us the chance to conquer that particular State of Mind.
This is how this picture came to be. I come by this spot ever so often on my walks and I imagined it to be great at night, with the motorway in the back, it’s exits, the streets below and the lake with the lit walk. So I made a plan to go up there some day. It had to be soon because the later you get there the less traffic you have. But also: it had to be dark. So I would have to stand up there in the woods in the dark. That is a nightmare for me. I mean it. So I asked a friend, would he come with me. Yes he would, but when the weather was right he was otherwise engaged. So I set off on my own, with another friend’s promise to come and collect me so I wouldn’t have to walk back by myself. As you can see. I did it. I conquered my fear and I think it really was worth it 😉
By the way, I am a total beginner when it comes to panoramas. I had some problems putting them together because I seem to have taken the photos in the wrong order. I corrected the mistake so Lightroom could put them together, but when I use all the pictures I took (and I’d like to), it put them together all wrong… Also I didn’t quite understand Photomerge… Any ideas? Also: Any constructive criticism? What can I do better?
