Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. That’s how the saying goes. So it is up to the beholder to see beauty in others. Not for us to appear beautiful. Beauty is also something that is to be found on the inside, not on the outside.
My very personal take on beauty is that it is the very manifestation of health on all levels. Because beauty, in essence, is an expression of harmony. And health is the state of harmony if you take a look on it on a larger scale than only the physical body. We all know someone who might not be considered beautiful but who radiates that certain something…
Beauty is also a door opener. There are many studies that have shown: beautiful people have better chances, more open doors, more possibilities in life.
Take all these ideas and stir them into a delicious meal, what would that mean? It would tell us that if we look for the beauty in others we open doors on a human level. We open our hearts for the person opposite us. We invite them in and acknowledige them. So yes, beauty works both ways: we radiate the idea of beauty when we are healthy on a deeper level and we perceive beauty when we actually look for it.
